An introduction.

Welcome to my 'Author's Den'.

My name is Mark S Bennison, author of 'Miliyary Rule', which is a fictional political thriller.
This is my first book to be published, June 2006, and was born from my strong feelings of discontent and anger towards unjust political systems and dictatorships.

'Miliyary Rule', is set in the future of two thousand and eight. America has secured its place as the world's superpower, with total control of the Middle East and its oil fields. Absolute world domination is in its grasp. But the outgoing President seems to be losing his grip and some believe he is selling out.
The military, headed by a power-grazed general, have other ideas about the fate of the nation and are prepared to sieze control at any cost and establish a dictatorship. Their answer: military rule for America and subsequently the rest of the world.
In a tangled web of deceit and conspiracy, personal and selfish ambitions come to the fore. The line between friend and enemy becomes blurred in a battle for power. Who can be trusted, and will a 'David' arise to slay the dangerous 'Goliath that has emerged before it is too late?

The idea behind creating the Author's Den is to give you an insight into my writing, providing you with extracts from my next book, which is the sequel to 'Military Rule', as well as from 'Military Rule' itself. So, join with me in writing the sequel,

Synopsis

Military Rule 2: The Return of Mandeville, is a psychological political thriller and the sequel to Military Rule - Apex Publishing Ltd - which justifies the imagined future by going back to the imagined past.
Mandeville returns to haunt the writer of Military Rule, and his creator, as the Lord’s second coming within Seeker 1, even believing that he is God himself. Mandeville takes charge of the writer’s mind, life, and what he writes. The writer is enrolled into the ‘Network’, that Mandeville has created to control and manage the existence and information of the world’s computers, and those who use them.
Once the writer is in, he is lead back, by Mandeville, to the imagined past and provided with the information to expose the conspiracies of , ‘the brothers in arms’, which lead to the imagined future of Military Rule, and eventually the continuation of the new regime.
